Wil Brasington has served as a member of Greenville City Council since 2017. He previously served on the City of Greenville’s Planning Commission, as president of the Alta Vista Neighborhood Association, and as a commissioner of the Greenville Water System.

He earned a degree in history from Clemson University, where he served as student body president, and a Master of Business Administration from the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina. He is a graduate of Leadership Greenville and Leadership South Carolina.

Professionally, Brasington is the chief executive officer of the Clemson Alumni Association, a nonprofit corporation that provides constituency services, engagement opportunities and communications to more than 200,000 Clemson alumni around the world. In this capacity, he bears responsibility for alumni affairs at Clemson University and oversees the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of the Association. Brasington formerly served as a special assistant to Clemson University President Jim Clements, during which time he was responsible for developing initiatives and managing programs for the President’s Office.
